In 2005, 2006, and 2007, the Caltech Cube Club team organized the Caltech Winter competitions, held at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. The Exploratorium has graciously offered its support as a venue again, and the San Francisco Open 2009 Rubik's Cube Competition will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2009 in the tradition of the previous Caltech competitions. This year's competition is being organized by Lucas Garron with the guidance of Tyson Mao, and will be run by a team of cubers from the Caltech, Berkeley, and Stanford Cube Clubs.
San Francisco Open 2009 is open to competitors of all nationalities and skill levels. Anybody who can solve a cube—or has a curiosity for cubing—is encouraged to attend.
World records were broken at all the previous Exploratorium competitions. Will it happen again? Come and find out!

Pre-registration: Competitors can pre-register here until January 16.

Registering at the competition: Even if they are not pre-registered, competitors may register at the competition for an additional $2 walk-in registration fee.
